LOCUST CREEK EDA

Locust Creek EDA ( Economic Developing Communities )

Locust Creek EDA is a regional non-profit organization established to serve as an implementation partner for economic and community development initiatives. Formed in 1981, the organization was created to strengthen regional growth through structured financial programs and strategic partnerships.

Locust Creek EDA administers revolving loan funds capitalized through programs supported by the USDA and the Department of Economic Development. These funds are designed to stimulate business expansion, job creation, and long-term economic sustainability. The organization works in collaboration with financial institutions, private sector leaders, and local economic development offices to deliver impactful, results-driven projects across the region.

Economic progress within the Locust Creek region is built on coordinated planning, strong institutional partnerships, and a shared commitment to advancing local opportunity.

In addition, Locust Creek EDA provides 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsorship services to qualifying regional organizations and initiatives. This allows groups to access tax-deductible funding without the cost and administrative burden of establishing their own non-profit entity, while benefiting from professional fund management and compliance oversight.

The organization is governed by an eleven-member Board of Directors representing both the business community and local government, ensuring balanced leadership and regional accountability.
